  • lots of students from different backgrounds & minority groups
    • helps show them the fun in science
    • gives them a sense of belonging in STEM

  • had a class discussion about different animal adaptions
  • played a predator-prey tag game to demonstrate advantages of certain adaptations

YMCA Camp Sloper Outreach

  • 143 acre outdoor campground donated to the YMCA by Cornelia Sloper Neil
  • located in Southington, CT
  • off-season I work school field trip days, bday parties, & YMCA youth sports
    • field trip days:
      • nearby schools come here to have fun and experience the outdoors!
      • supervised a variety of different classrooms and made lasting impressions
  • Summer 2025: I am working as Sloper’s Field Games Director!
    • get to make up games for the kids to play
    • work with all of the age groups (5-15)
  • Summers 2023 & 2024: worked as a day camp counselor and bus monitor
